The Han-Taeumin ( Souminesque Taeummin)34p.jpg

In the Han-Taeumin, liver is the largest organ, so the lower middle jiao, the liver jiao and all of its organs, namely liver, small intestine, navel, nose, waist, and hypodermic tissues, are the most developed. Kidneys follow as relatively large organs, so the lower jiao, the kidney group and all of its organs, namely kidneys, large intestine, sex organs, mouth, bladder, and bones are well developed.
Pancreas is a relatively small organ, so the upper middle jiao, the pancreas and all of its organs, namely pancreas, stomach, breast, eyes, spine, muscles, are not well developed. Lungs are the smallest organs, so the upper jiao, the lung group and all of its organs, namely lungs, esophagus, tongue, ears, brain and skin, are least developed.

The Yol- and Han-Taeumins both have the liver as the largest organ and the lungs as the smallest organs, but nevertheless are different in body shape. The size of the two middle organs kidney and pancreas is different in the two Taeumins.

It is important, that although both have the organ structure 'liver > lungs', the Yol-Taeumin is characterized by the smallest lungs, while the Han-Taeumin is characterized by the largest liver.
In other words, the Yol-Taeumin is a constitution caused by lungs that are too small, while the Han-Taeumin is a constitution caused by a liver that is too large.

If these constitutions for some reason become ill, the Yol-Taeumin's small pancreas becomes weaker and the main cure is to adjust the weakened pancreas, while the Han-Taeumin's large kidneys become stronger and its main cure is to adjust the too strengthened kidneys.

This can be easily expressed as follows.

Above: constitution with too small lungs: the Yol-Taeumin.
Lower: constitution with too large liver: the Han-Taeumin.

As seen above, although the Yol-Taeumin has lungs as the smallest organs same as the Han-Taeumin, the two lungs cannot be put into the same vertical column and regarded as equally small. Lungs of the Yol-Taeumin are evidently smaller.

Although the Han-Taeumin has the liver as the largest organ same as the Yol-Taeumin, the two livers can't be put into the same vertical column and regarded as equally large. Evidently, the Han-Taeumin's liver is larger.

The main external difference between the two is that the Han-Taeumin does not become corpulent, because the Han-Taeumin's pancreas is a small organ, in contrast to that of the Yol-Taeumin. For a person to become corpulent, it is necessary that both the liver and the pancreas be large.

Nevertheless, the liver as largest organ group means that the hypodermic tissues are among the most developed, so the Han-Taeumin can put on extra weight, but not become really corpulent. If he does put on weight, it will accumulate mainly in the lower body, that is, the waist, thighs and legs. Even among Han-Taeumins are thin people like the first Soumins.

The Han-Taeumin (liver > kidneys > pancreas > lungs) and the first Soumin (kidneys > liver > lungs > pancreas) are similar in organ structure such that the liver and kidneys are large while the pancreas and lungs are small. Large liver and kidneys develop the lower middle and the lower jiaos, so the Han-Taeumin is tall with a well developed lower body.

The first Soumin and the Han-Taeumin have well developed lower middle and lower jiaos due to the large liver and kidneys, but the upper and upper middle jiaos are not well developed because of the small lungs and pancreas. Therefore, although the organs are different in the order of their sizes, the two constitutions are most similar to each other.

In other words, in body shape the Han-Taeumin is not similar to the Yol-Taeumin, even though it is the same constitution, but to the first Soumin, which is a completely different constitution. In fact, it is difficult to compare the two constitutions. That is a unique phenomenon, the result of the similarity between the two organ structures.

Nevertheless, it is easy to distinguish between the Han-Taeumin and the first Soumin, if one observes well and compares the characteristics of Taeumin and Soumin.
A relatively shorter and thinner person can be regarded as the first Soumin, while a taller and fatter person could be the Han-Taeumin.

Both constitutions are similar in that their statures are generally tall and figures thin due to the underdeveloped upper body and well developed lower body. But the first Soumin has a relatively small body, face, eyes, nose and mouth, and looks cute, while the Han-Taeumin has a relatively large body, face, eyes, nose and mouth, and looks active.

Because of their natural body shape, most of the women who win beauty contests are Han-Taeumins. First Soumins are also beautiful, but seldom win because they are shorter and smaller.

The two constitutions are quite similar also in temperament. The Han-Taeumin is mixed with Soumin, a yin constitution, and in that way differs from the Yol-Taeumin, which is mixed with soyangin, a yang constitution. Yang qualities are less visible in the Han-Taeumin than in the Yol-Taeumin.

Even though it is a Taeumin, the Han-Taeumin is less active, less outgoing, and less jovial than the Yol-Taeumin. This difference is a result of the fact that the Han-Taeumin is mixed with Soumin, while the Yol-Taeumin is mixed with soyangin. That is what facilitates the distinction between the first and the Han-Taeumins.

Although quite similar to the first Soumin in temperament, in fact the Han-Taeumin's temperament is more Taeumin than Soumin, and therein lies the difference. As a Taeumin, the Han-Taeumin eats anything well and has a stronger lower body than upper body. To strengthen the upper body, it is necessary to practice sports that mainly require the use of the upper body. Too strong an interest in health can easily change into worry and melancholy and can sometimes bring on insomnia.

Note: Foods that are useful and those that are harmful to the second Soumin are the same as for the first Soumin.

Examples of second Soumins:
Gregory Peck, Kevin Costner, Harrison Ford
